On Sunday, November 20th, thousands, including human rights defenders and torture survivors from Chile, Colombia, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Immokalee and the South Bronx, will gather at the gates of Fort Benning to stand up against oppressive U.S. foreign policy and be the voice for all of the voiceless victims of this school’s graduates. Twelve members of our youth group will there as well!
Students will travel to Columbus, Georgia from entirely too early on Friday morning until late Sunday evening. Members of the St. Charles youth group have been going to Columbus the weekend before Thanksgiving for the past seven years, and this year will be one of our best experiences yet! For more information on this school and why we travel to Columbus each year please check out the School of the Americas Watch website. The link is below and please feel free to check out the photo album from this year's Vigil on flickr.
