Growing In Faith Together

Religious Formation 2009 - 2010

Growing In Faith Together (GIFT) – For all parishioners:

At St. Charles, the whole community is the center of faith formation. Our formation is designed to support all who wish to grow in their faith and knowledge of our Catholic tradition.

GIFT promotes faith formation as an ongoing and lifelong process that is inter-generational. By Growing In Faith Together our community is involved in faith formation that is centered in the events of church life, thus promoting faith growth at home.

Monthly, families have an opportunity to gather to learn about and share faith.  The gatherings consist of prayer, learning, activities, crafts, movies, stories and a take home kit to re-enforce the lessons and tie them to our daily lives.

Each gathering will be offered 5 times per month and each session will be approximately 2 hours in length.

For a schedule of GIFT gatherings, please click here.

If you would like to join us for pizza before January gift, please complete this form and return it to the Religious Formation Office before January 6, 2010.

If you are interested in Religous Formation for your family, please contact Cathy Souto or Paula Kornberg in the Religious Formation office.

GIFT Homework

In addition to attendance at weekly Mass and our monthly gathering, families are asked to put aside time each week to help your children grow in faith.  Included on this website are short and easy assignments to be completed at home with a parent and handed in at each session.

We use the Pflaum Gospel weeklies for children in grades K-6.  If you are interested, the Pflaum website has additional materials for families to use.  Just visit www.pflaum.com and sign up to use the family pages.  This is a free service with a lot of very good materials for families.
