What is a 'Spiritual Life' ? If you tend to ask yourself this question you are not alone. Isn't it true that there is no perfect definition? Yet there is a guide, the life of Christ. Told to us in many different voices in the bible, the letter of James says this, " I will demonstrate my faith to you from my works". (James 2:18)
How does one learn to do this? Below you will find ministries that can help you come to a deeper understanding of your 'Spiritual Life'.
Bible Study
For many years St. Charles has offered different forms of Bible Study. Many of our parishioners as well as friends who live in the area have joined our studies. We welcome you to look at what we are currently studying and what we will be studying in the future by clicking here.
JustFaith
JustFaithis a thirty-week adult educational and formational program offered in over 900 parishes that offers an opportunity for parishioners to experience a spiritual journey into compassion. Participants meet weekly to focus on a social justice topic from a Gospel perspective, with time to share thoughts and reflect in prayer.
Palm Sunday Gathering at the Cross
Palm Sunday Gathering at the Cross (Lenten Mission 2013 will replace Gathering at Cross)
This is a wonderful opportunity as community to pray and prepare for Holy Week. Several families within our faith community open their homes to invite familiar friends, neighbors, and anyone else who would like to participate in this event. Start time is 4:00pm which begins with a prayer service around a cross in the person's yard or home followed by a time of fellowship. To find out more information about the event please contact Darrin Nelson in the parish office or dnelson@borromeo.org.
Praying the Rosary
Praying the rosary is a wonderful opportunity to become focused on the Mysteries of the Church. Each Tuesday morning from 9:30 am until 11:00 am you may join others reciting the rosary in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel. For more information please contact Darrin Nelson in the parish office or dnelson@borromeo.org .
