As with so many other churches and non profit organizations, these trying economic times pose many challenges to our parish. The following are ways parishioners can help us meet these financial challenges.

Make the commitment that supporting the parish is part of your obligation as a parish member.
We need everyone’s financial support no matter what the amount that is given each week.

Consider using the Faith Direct system. (see below)

As an alternative, make the commitment to use the envelope system. Catholics are the only denomination where many of its members throw in loose cash during the collection. This is not the best practice of stewardship. It also hinders the Finance Council’s ability to plan based on what our parishioners have pledged to give each week or month.

Take time to reflect on your yearly contribution to the parish. Does your contribution reflect your appreciation for the community as well as your ability to give? How does your contribution to the parish compare to the ways you spend your money?

 UNITED WAY

Many organizations have annual campaigns to raise United Way contributions from employees. Donations can be made to a general fund or designated to a specific agency or tax-exempt entity.  Saint Charles Borromeo has a 501c(3) tax status and qualifies for such direct giving. We ask you to consider directing your United Way donations to Saint Charles when you complete you contribution forms at your place of employment. These funds help us continue the work of service.
